About Us
Our Mission
At Sailability Victoria, our mission is to make sailing accessible to people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds. We provide inclusive opportunities that enable individuals to experience the joy of sailing, build confidence, and become part of the sailing community. Through our network of clubs, volunteers, and adaptive equipment, we ensure that everyone has the chance to get on the water in a safe and supportive environment.

Our History
Sailability Victoria was established in Australia by the Victorian Yachting Council in 1991. Originally supporting just four programs with a mobile fleet of Access (Hansa) boats, Sailability Victoria has grown significantly over the years. In 2003, it merged with Sailing for Everyone, expanding its reach. Today, we support 22 programs across Victoria, helping thousands of people experience the benefits of sailing in an inclusive setting.
Our Vision
We believe sailing should be accessible and welcoming to everyone. Our vision is to build a strong and inclusive sailing community where people of all abilities can discover the joy of being on the water. We’re committed to growing our programs across Victoria, improving accessibility at clubs, and supporting volunteers and participants alike. By fostering a culture of inclusion, connection, and empowerment, we aim to ensure that everyone feels valued, supported, and inspired through their involvement in sailing.
